Google Logo Colors

With the broadest language support, Google is the most popular search engine in the world. Sergey Brin and Larry Page, students at Stanford University, created it. Ruth Kedar, another designer, contributed greatly to the evolution of the Google logo, as she came up with a dozen ideas that became part of its encoding. In the beginning, the favicon was just a letter "G" in blue placed inside a square frame. It was replaced by a lowercase "g" in light blue in 2008, and a new, multicolored palette appeared a couple of years later. The 2012 favicon resembled the 2008 one with the colors flipped.

The new logo was introduced simultaneously with an updated favicon in 2015. Designers have noted that Google's current favicon is reminiscent of the logotype for the clothing brand Gymboree in 1993. As for the first letter in Gymboree's wordmark, it had almost the same shape as the one used in Google's favicon, but the color scheme was totally different. Blue, red, yellow, and green are the official colors of Google.

More Brand Palettes

There are usually more than one color on a brand. Though the logo might be blue, other colors might appear on the website, as well. This is called a brand palette. The colors should be in harmony with each other. Color palettes can be tricky to select, but you don't need a designer to do it. The key to creating engaging social media content and street flyers for your brand is to ensure your identity is clearly presented. Your goal is to have consumers see what you will create, and instantly connect with you. Individually adding your own brand colors and graphics to every document you create takes time and a lot of money. But with  Dopely brand palettes, you can do it in seconds
