What does an orchid represent?

In general, orchids represent love, peace, elegance and power. But to fully understand this, let’s take a look at how others have treated orchids throughout history:

The name orchid is derived from Orkhid, which is a Greek word. Because the glandular roots of this flower are similar to the male anatomy. That is why the Greeks considered this flower a symbol of fertility.

In 18th and 19th century Europe, orchids were used in love potions because Europeans believed that the flower was a symbol of love and affection.  In addition, the use of these flowers in the Victorian period was a symbol of beauty and perfection.

Finally, the Chinese also used orchids in their annual spring festivals because they considered it a symbol of good luck.
